Buenos Aires

The capital of Argentina is unique in the way of combining Latin American lifestyle along with that of European architecture and culture. While here, don’t forget to taste the world’s finest beef products on offer.

Included activities

Iconic Landmarks of Buenos Aires (Half Day Tour)

Explore the pulsating Argentine capital on this tour of the city’s iconic destinations. Set off from your hotel in the company of your guide, enjoying a leisurely tour of Buenos Aires. Visit the chic French residential neighborhood of Recoleta, teeming with classy art galleries and cultural centers. If you’re lucky, you could even catch an exhibition or two while visiting the district. Also visit the Recoleta Cemetery, to find the graves of notable people, including Eva Perón. Continue with the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Colon Theater, the National Congress, and the Presidential Palace, before returning to your hotel. (Half Day; Duration: 4 hrs; Private Activity & Transfer; Fitness Level: Easy; Please bring comfortable walking shoes, and don’t forget your camera).

Fire & Flavors Experience at a Home

Immerse yourself in the flavors of an Argentinian asado, or barbecue, during this experience. From your hotel in Buenos Aires, make your way to your host’s house for lunch or dinner, depending on your preference. Your host will welcome you and will prepare your asado. As you watch the food being prepared, learn about the different grilling methods. Your meal might be made on the parrilla, or Argentinian grill. It might also be made al disco, which is fried and then stewed, or a las brasas using red hot embers. Pair your meal with wine or a non-alcoholic beverage. Save some room for dessert too. As the asado takes place in an open space around a fire, chat with your host and other guests and share your stories. (Duration: 3.5 hrs; Shared group activity; No transfers; Meals included: lunch/dinner, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages; Please inform us of any food allergies in advance; Fitness level: easy)

Be enchanted by the impressive Argentinean Andes and enjoy the solitude of this mountainous region.

Included activities

Personalized Cerro Fitz Roy and Laguna de los Tres Trek

Go on an exhilarating hike on one of Patagonia’s most iconic routes. This classic trek leads to spectacular sights of mystical Mount Fitz Roy and picturesque Laguna de los Tres. Beginning from the edge of the town of El Chalten , the trail winds its way through nire and lenga forests dotted with yellow-flowered calafate bushes. Continue onward to Mirador de las Vueltas and Chorrillo del Salto, a lovely waterfall and its stream of melting snow from Fitz Roy massif. Soak in fantastic views of mountains, rivers and lakes before crossing the wooden bridge over Rio Blanco. Keep climbing until you approach the final switchbacks and reach Laguna de los Tres. Take in the beauty of this cobalt blue lake. Marvel at the breathtaking panorama from a lookout and admire the three granite peaks of Mount Fitz Roy, Aguja Poincenot and Cerro Torre. Wander along well-marked trails to viewpoints offering splendid views over Laguna Sucia nearby. (Duration: 10 hrs; Time: 0800 hrs; Private activity; Meal included: packed lunch; Please inform us of any food allergies in advance; Fitness level: moderate; Best time to visit: November – April; Access to Laguna de los Tres depends on accumulation of snow.)

Independent Hike to Huemul Glacier Viewpoint

Discover spectacular natural landscapes on this independent hike to the Huemul Glacier viewpoint. Depart from El Chalten by bus and travel 21 miles north from El Chalten, passing through gorgeous mountain terrain, until you get to Lago del Desierto, or Desierto Lake. This is the starting point for your trek to Huemul. The lake is surrounded by a dark green forest and offers views of Mount Fitz Roy. After paying for your tickets, set out along relatively flat terrain. Walk alongside brooks and over bridges. After an hour, you’ll arrive at Huemul Glacier. Continue to follow the trail as it winds through the Lenga forest. It gets steeper from here, and it is helpful to have a walking stick on this stretch. Trek up one final slope to find the emerald-green colored Huemul lagoon extending out in front of you. Spend a few minutes absorbing the beauty around you and taking photographs. Then, make your way back down the same way you came, before returning to El Chalten around 1730 hrs.
